Where do they find these "people" (and I use the term loosely) to model this stuff? Eww.....
BTW, those paper hats look pretty darn cool...I would have killed for those and an Indy birthday party when I was a kid....

Man...you guys.
There's a lot of us who would have killed for that back in the 80's when we were wearing our grandfather's old fedoras and having Indy adventures.
I'm glad some kid can get an officially licensed hat on the cheap and FEEL like Indiana Jones rather than LOOK exactly like him.
There's a real elitism that's in the air here and it drives me nuts.

Cassidy...
I am glad that they have cheap gear for kids as well...I love the paper party hats and even el cheapo wool for the lil fellas.
But... the original hat posted is the
Adult model.
And that my friend is just plain sad.

What we must realize is that not everyone is like us, gearheads. Not everyone wants their hat to look exactly like Indy's, they just want something that will make the, feel like Indy, as Cassidy said. They are not conscerned with SA, just fun. I remember wearing my DP as a kid and loving it. I even loved wearing a DP as an adult because it simply felt cool. There is no need to look down on those that are content with a cheap wool fedora. My best friend is a regular fedora wearer and he swears by wool because he simply doesn't like fur. He loves my fur fedoras, but not for him. If everyone was like us the world would be boring. Let those who want a cheap liscensed fedora have them and let us have our hats.

I thought that was the entire point of these boards? To get our gear as close as possible? It doesn't take much for one to feel like Indy, but I suppose these boards were dedicated to his gear so we can have our gear look exactly like (or as close as possible to) his, hence the elitism.
I thought that by coming on here, one would already feel like Indy in his or her trappings, but would still want to take that next, extra step to look exactly like Indy?
Now, I'm not knocking anyone who is content with a Dorfman Pacific and a nondescript jacket, but I am just trying to say that basically, just like how we can understand that group of people's feeling of satisfaction, we must also be just as understanding with people like me, who lack that satisfaction until we get everything just right!
