The Christy's brim as is works fine for the Raiders look. I believe the KOTCS brim dimensions of 2 3/4 X 2 1/2 should also work well for a LC look, because the KOTCS look was modeled after LC.

I thought the 3 inch brim on the Christy's might bother me, but it does not, and I intend to leave mine the way it came.

It could be an HJ, too. I have one made by Swales at the time of LC with a very narrow brim like that. He seemed to be all over the place with his brim cuts before a lot of Indy fans started ordering his hats & requesting the wider brims.

Hi there,
I have recently adjusted this hat to make it look a little more LC.
The crown is now stovepipe shape and the brim sides flatter.
The brim is 2 1/2" wide all round.
Cheers,
JTW. :D

I sent him the standard dimensional cut measurements listed on X Marks the Spot back in 1999, and wound up with a perfect LC fedora:
