Check in "Guns and Holsters" in the thread, "Lee Keppler's first LC belt and holster" I think that's what you're looking for.

anybody know how wide the gunbelt is?

some say 1.50'' and some others say 1.25''

I found these here too.

they look the part, brown.no metal clasp.golden squarish buckle.
what ya think?

and to compare.here is the Noel Howard LC gunbelt.you can see the NH buckle is kinda the same as the belt above...but the belt itself of the budget belt has a far more screen acurrate color

Those two belts look so darn close, Holt!

As for width, use the web belt in the screen cap as a guide against your web belt (not sure off the top of my head how wide they are). The gun belt looks to be a bit wider, but not by much.

The buckles provided by NH fits a belt 3,8cm wide. However distressing with hot water makes the leather shrink, so 4cm is recommended cutting if You intend to use this techniqe.

The angle the belt is at in the screen grab makes it look narrow. Where did NH come up with two narrow keepers??? Hi's buckle looks good, but the SG of the wide keeper is on the same page. Tsk, tsk, NH.

Holt,
as you are probably aware, I to am collecting in the LC style.
I've managed to find both a webbing belt, and a gun belt measuring
1 1/2" in width. The webbing belt was a particular find, it is a rich sand color, very SA, IMO, found by accident at a flea market.
The photo of indy in 'mid-whip' appears to show the two belts are of very similar width, and where the gun belt is concerned, 1 1/2" is a good gauge if the previous movies are anything to go by.
My gun belt buckle is slightly rounded, but will do until I've found better.
I'm awaiting delivery of an 8' bullwhip and Webley holster to complete the ensemble. When they arrive I will post pics.
Cheers,
JTW. :D

LC is by far my favorite of the original trilogy. I will never forget the first time I watched it at the cinema in 1989.
The moment that he entered Castle Brunwald blew my mind. The costme looked so smart, real classy.
Part of the DVD bonus material clearly hears Spielberg say to Williams "LC is my favorite of the three".
One can understand why, in my opinion, it is a masterpiece.
Cheers,
JTW.
