It is a natural phenomenon, the film jackets have it, and I know of no way to reverse it. Leather jackets and felt hats are not made of static materials; the expand and contract according to moisture, temperature and time. Short of preserving it in cryogenic deep-freeze and never weaing it, it seems inevitable. My recommendation is learn to like it.

I'd coat it with some leather balm or the likes. The leather contracts as it dries but if "lubed" the fibers can expand a bit. It will not reduce it all the way, but my guess is at least a bit.

I suppose you could always try zipping it up and hope gravity takes its' toll. However, with all my jackets, some a year and a half old by now, none have experienced that. I suppose that's the price you pay for distressing a jacket? ;)

I love the wavy zipper thing! Makes the jacket look worn in.

I soaked my Wested lamb in cold water and got the wavy zipper as well, I also ran into a shrinkage problem of the entire jacket. :o I had to keep putting it on and stretching in it while it continued to dry. This afternoon it got a very liberal application of some lotion cream I had purchased for another leather jacket and it seems like it will be ok. No more artificial distressing techniques for me.

Next time I buy an Indy jacket and want the distressed look I will purchase the Novapelle hide.
