I called them a few weeks ago and they said they had a crate that was improperly labelled, and thus they thought they had a ton of these in stock when they really had none. They said orders would take several months. I did speak to a holster maker who bought this to use as a pattern, and he said the leather was very, very thin.

I've been very pleased with my IMA holster for Indy/reenacting/outdoor use for a number of years. Yes, it is orangy out of the box but darkens down well enough with dye/oiling. I've had good experiences with IMA's leather goods. Good, thick leather with strong stitching.

Which one has tougher (thicker) leather?

The IMA holster is VERY thick and stiff. What did you use to dye it? I tried brown/black show polish, but that didn't do squat.

Yes, the leather is very stiff. Gives my Webley a nice sturdy protective case in the field. I used brown scuff-cover dye to darken it. Apply, let dry overnight, gave it a buff with paper towels, reapplied. Gave it a coat of Hubbard's shoe oil for additional waterproofing, and I'm pleased with the color.
The clutter monkeys have hidden my camera again, but I'll try to get some pics posted to show the color.

Oh, I wasn't complaining about the stiffness, that is a real plus! Definate protection for a Webley be it a replica or real steel!
Where did you pick up the scuff-covering dye? Online or locally?
Thanks!

Compared to the todd's standard webley holster, which one is better quality?
