Does anyone have any idea on if one should protect a Novapella Jacket? After seeing Castro's Wested turn almost black I'm leary on using Pecards on it, but I wear my coat in Snow, Sun, Rain.... Everywhere. So anyone have any ideas?

I applied a nice coat of regular Pecards with only a slight darkening of the leather, and almost no tackiness.

When mine arrives I'll apply a light coat of either Pecards or Montana Pitch Blend.. it'll be dark at first (my Aldens became a nice dark brown from the MPB) and then lighten a little with time. From what I understand the Novapelle and pre-distressed leathers don't have that same weather resistance others do.

If you're afraid to darken it..just wear it like it is. Let it get wet.. who cares...it's leather. Good leather jackets can even be thrown in the washing machine (no soap of course)...so don't be afraid to get it wet. Then when the time is right and the leather needs treating, apply something.
