Distressing + Lotion = What?

I've had my Wested Raiders Lambskin for over half a year and I love it (of course!), but I'm not sure what to do about taking "care" of it. I distressed it by wearing it, keeping it balled up on the floor, and sanding the edges as well as other places, but I'm not sure of how to keep it "nice" while having the distressed look stay well...distressed! I keep thinking if I put Pecards on it that the distressed marks/the lighter colored scratches will go away and make the jacket look a little less "worn."

If I should put Pecards on it, then what kind would be the best...I'm sure this has been answered a million and one times, but I'm still a little wary.

I use Pecards creme on my Wested lamb......goes on clear and stays clear...and keeps it supple and looking great......use sparingly though.

Does it still keep that "distressed" look? That's my worry! I don't know if putting the Pecards on will "undo" my distressed look becuase I don't want that to happen.

It won't "undo" the distressing, but it will tone it down significantly. However, once it dries out over a period of time, the orignal distressing will start to show through again.
