peter bros last crusade

Post by indy1936 »

I'm looking to order a peter bros last crusade venice pier style.

I need some help getting the specifications right. What color hat,
ribbon width, and crown height would be good? What is the difference
between a pb and a pbbm? I have a longer face, am 6'2", and have a 7 3/4" size head. I think i'd go with the 2 3/4 2 5/8 brim.

If i tell joe jr that i'm looking for the venice scene hat will he
know the color of the hat and ribbon size automatically?

very appreciative of any help,

thanks

My advice, just take all your detail to Joe Jr. He is an expert on the LC Venice Pier scene fedora. He is an expert on face, head shape, body size proportions. He will know the precise dimensional cut. Just give him a ring on his 800 number.

The PB is a custom-made fedora ($185)
The PBBM is a Borsalino brand shell that Joe shapes ($325??)

But Sergei is right: Joe knows hats.

Although not cheap, the PBBM is a wonderful LC fedora, here's the pic ITG took of it (venice pier to boot) on my noggin when we were down there last week.....

Shucks Schwam... you're making me blush! ;)

As for the dimensions, I can't recall (too early in the morning) - but JP Design would probably know off the top of his head.
