Wested Raiders and Wested LC Question....

I recently purchased a Wested HH LC jacket to go along with my Wested Lambskin Raiders jacket. I noticed that that my LC jacket is a good 3 inches longer (back length) compared to my Raiders. Is this normal? (Both are size 44 Reg). Is the Raiders style supposed to be shorter than LC? BTW, my Wested HH jacket is very stiff and heavy (maybe because it's so new).....what's a good way to soften it up a bit or "break it in?"

3 inches is a very laaaaarge discrepency in length as both should be the same pattern wise. are they both custom or OTR? seems strange to me. my jackets never deviated more than 1" as far as the back length....standard and custom patterns.

The Raiders is OTR and my LC is custom (both are 44R)........should that explain the large discrepancy? What is normal?

i have short legs but a regular torso. my 44 jackets typically measure 25.5" to just under 26" from the collar seam to the bottom of the jacket.....in westeds, todd's, flightjackets, etc.
