What would YOU like to see on The Henry's sweatband?

Hi all,
I was thinking of the following inscription on the sweatband of The Henry:
The Adventurebilt Hat Co.
The Henry
Fine beaver blend
As always we're looking for suggestions from your side, so if you have any ideas, please let us know.
Thanks,
Marc

I think it stands fine the way it is Marc. But if you're asking for nitpicking (and I suspect you might be), I like:
The Henry
Fine beaver blend
Handcrafted by The Adventurebilt Hat Co.
...in a much better font that we can do here.

I second JulianK's wording. I think that works better. So with this question, I'm assuming the hat is nearing completion. This is great.

here you go

I think you leave the way you got it Marc. I don't know if it would be right to say handcrafted on a factory hat

Yes, I aggree here Oak. The hat is semi-handmade and I know it says "handmade" on the HJs as well but to me that is false advertising.

Marc

Can't wait to see the final product. The prototype looked good so the final piece will probably look outstanding.

How about "Handworked Fine Beaver Blend"?

I think the first one is fine... does it all have to be in one section though? I remember on my Akubra it said "Akubra" on the side, and "Federation" on the front where your forehead goes. Maybe you could put your name and materials on the side, and "The Henry" on the front like that?

I think what you have to start with is good, Its simple and proffesional. How ever i do like the idea of puting the movie title on the bad as well, if not that how about
"CS Bashed"
or something to that effect.

I wouldnt want anything that says CS or similar phrases. This hat is coming open crowned right?
And it is using the Radiers block so if I want mine ROTLA style, I would hate to have it say KOTCS etc. on the inside. Right?
I think either of the two serious options are fine.

I agree. The sort of model or special name for hats seems to go on the front.

I like Marc's original suggestion. Just my opinion, but I like the fact that the Indy reference is subtle and not too in your face. I think that's really classy. Just like the Henry itself!

I say, just:
"The Henry"
Adventurebilt Hat Co.
The beaver blend thing doesn't really make sense to me. I mean it's information that really doesn't matter. It's like having Beaver XX or Fine Felt....it really adds nothing to the hat, and if you're putting that information in there for others to see (I'm assuming the ones who own the hat know about it).
So if you're putting the information in there for others who read it to be able to quickly get an idea of who made it so they can get one, then just put the most relevant information.

Actually that idea above makes a great lot of sense, and I like it. It's simple and it says everything you need to know. Who makes it, and what model it is, so if somebody shows the hat to you and you're interested in it, you can go look it up.

hmmm,
Again, too much information that just "clogs" the "message".
My suggestion is keep it clean, simple, and to the point. To me the most important information is the company, and the model. The beaver blend/"when good enough won't do" is all stuff you market on the website/sales card attached to the hat.
You want a potential customer to be able to see it, and google it without being confused by a bunch of other things. If the last thing they read is "Fine beaver blend" they might put that into Google and choose another hat out of choice or mistake.

Maybe you should separate "The Henry" from "Adventurebilt Hat Co." Otherwise, the uninformed might read "The Henry Adventurebilt Hat Co." as a single phrase.

Personaly I like this one the best, I love the saying and its so true with most of the gear especaly the Hat. Can't wait till they are available to purchase. Any idea on a ETA ?

I prefer the simplicity of the original wording. There is a sophistication in simplicity that doesn't get across with wordiness. I do like the "good enough" phrase, just prefer the orignial.

That's fine if you take out the first "the," otherwise it feels repetetive it feels repetitive.

I agree that this is probably the best as well, although I have a suggestion. for "
Fine beaver blend", it could "
The finest beaver blend". With or without the "The" probably works either way.

I agree with all the others who are in favor of simplicity. I don't think that putting in anything about the felt adds to it at all.
I also agree that having both lines start with "The" looks cluttered, but suggest that "The Henry" remain, and pair it with simply "Adventurbilt Hat Co." (rather than the other way around, if I read McFly's post correctly.)

Actually, I like
"Henry" as opposed to The Henry. Not sure why but I just think it looks better with The Adventurebilt Hat Co. Prob has something to do with too many the's.
Plus, and even cooler, it makes the hat look like it was made for "Henry, a customer of the Adventurebilt Hat Co." as opposed to "The Henry" a model made by The Adventurebilt Hat Co.
Johnny
p.s. So now we're discussing sweatbands...hurm, are we getting closer to production Marc? Fedora?

Why not something really simple such as: 'The Henry!' Or, 'Dr. Jones!' Or, you could go with: 'Henry's hat!' Just some thoughts...in the end, as long as it isn't hokey, who cares? The fewer the wording the better! W>
