How do I size myself for a TN IJ4 jacket?
I have a wested but over the years its got a little cramped and I need to go up a size. Tony said measure key lengths on my wested such as shoulder length from base of collar to shoulder tip but on my base of collar I have a 1 inch strip going around the neck. Is the top of the 1 inch strip where I measure or the bottom of the 1 inch strip where I measure from to the tip of the shoulder. Also, the length of the back is measured from the base of the collar to the bottom of the jacket. Should I measure from the top or bottom of the 1 inch strip around the collar seperating the collar flap from the jacket? How tight does tony keep his measurements? Will he adjust to properly size the jacket?
Any help is greatly appreciated so I can go ahead and order.
Thanks,
IJ

For measurement purposes, he told me to ignore that 1" strip, so you should measure from the base of it.Indiana Jackson wrote:How do I size myself for a TN IJ4 jacket?

For my jacket, because I'm 6'2" and typically a 42L and wanted my sleeves as long as they were in the movie (i.e. almost to my knuckles), I had to go with 28" sleeves. (26" it my suit jacket length.) I had originally measured a 25" length for the front, but he suggested scaling it back to match proportionally. I told him to scale on his judgment, since he clearly knows what he's doing, and we ended up going 24".
Of course, I haven't gotten my jacket yet, so hopefully we can get someone who did to chime in here.
Hope that helps,
