It says on the Wested Indy jacket page:

"... Based on one of our unique designs, the Jacket passed through many stages of design finally meeting the exact requirements of both the film's designers and Mr. Harrison Ford himself."

Do you still have the original "unique design", pre indy development? I would be really interested to see it. I'm sure this question has been asked before though....

This has been the question I've asked since day 1. I never understood why we had to provide all of the specs when they made the jackets.

Vegeta - the specs changed over the years so that the jackets could be more durable, and less like a costume jacket (stronger zippers, better lining, etc.). It looks like they're changing back though, since we keep asking for ones like the movie jackets, even if they're not as durable.

I believe he's referring to the original base jacket, the "James Dean" model that they modified according to the production's specs.

I believe you're right! Oh well... I still answered the Saiyan Prince's question.

That's correct! They had a design knocking around before Spielberg came looking for a jacket for Raiders. They then developed THAT design. now... it's THAT design that I'd be interested in seeing.

I'd like to see that too.

Of course original movie jacket patterns appear to have been lost which is why the Keppler (fan designed) jacket became the basis for the ones following Raiders.
