Question about Todds deluxe gun belt

I got a deluxe gun belt from todd back in july and after nearly a year the leather is still fairly stiff. I have frequently applied leather conditioner and worn the belt often, however it doesn't seem to really break in. I remember when I purchased the belt his website said that the belt was made out of tooling leather, but more recently his website has said that the belt is now "made from solid, thick cowhide". So after learning this and seeing recent pictures of other peoples Todds deluxe belts I began to think about getting a new deluxe belt from todd. So I guess my question is this: for those of you who have bought a deluxe gun belt from Todd recently, does the leather seem hard and stiff, or is it fairly soft and supple? I hope someone can understand what I mean and I haven't been too confusing.

Again, any help here would be greatly appreciated and if you need me to clarify/restate anything just let me know. Thanks.

I'm going to say the leather seems supple. I purchased mine a couple months ago. It's quite comfortable and looks great. My Todd's bagstrap is quite stiff, even after Pecards. I am assuming that's more along the lines of how your gunbelt is? Hope this helps.

You might try a Keppler

Thanks MACHONE. Yeah, my belt is probably along the same lines as your bag strap. But at least now I know that the belts that are currently being produced are more what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, Todds stuff is great, I have a lot of it and am very pleased with it, I was just thinking that the leather for the gun belt would be a little softer, back when I ordered it.

And Digger, I would love to get a Keppler, but it's just out of my price range for now. :(

Thanks guys.

My Gunblet deluxe from todd is buttey soft it feels like a pieace of cloth and it's only 3 months old.

to break it in you really have to beat the living daylights out of it and then apply pecards.same goes for the strap.

thats what I did.
