Hi, to all I have been reading the forums for a while so decided to join, I have a HJ, Alden's, MkIIV Bag, the Wested Trousers and Shirt, but Im waiting for the shirt from Todd's to arrive to compare colour etc.. I have had two wested jackets both Novapelle, but there are as different as chalk and cheese the first jacket was a LC which was a fantastic colour match to the jacket in the CS, so I thought I would ask for a CS version of the jacket, but when it arrived it was totally a different colour, more tan where the LC jacket was a darker colour and to me more accurate, has anybody else experienced the same thing?

KT can attest that using pecard weather dressing will darken it.
i've dribbled some oatmeal baby food on my novapelle and it did make a 'spot'. i'm sure she'll darken up nice if you treat it...that is....if you want to darken it up.

Can you post a pic of the 2 next to each other? The 'more tan' version sounds more like their usual 'predistressed cowhide'.
Did they it make much difference with the 2 patterns?

Just a quick change of subject, I have just got the latest book, "The Complete Making of Indiana Jones" which covers all 4 Films, shows fabric samples from TOD, lots and lots of never seen before behind the scenes pics.......I have sent KT some photos of the jackets!!

The first jacket is the same leather as mine, the second lighter one looks to also be novapelle but a lighter warmer colour. Peter was looking into a lighter colour to match the pics we have been seeing. The new one seems to do that.
In the end it's a bit of a matter of taste, I quite like the lighter colour too. Put a bit of pecard on it and it will look fabulous. (it looks pretty great right now.)

I was talking to Gemma and she was telling me that it was a different batch of Novapelle skins that they received and it was a different colour, unfortunatley depending on what they receive, could depend on what colour you get...

Hi, just spoke to Peter, and they had a different batch of Novapelle that had a ginger backing instead of a dark brown, the jacket has been returned and is now being made of the dark brown backed Novapelle...

What size was it? I like the ginger tone. I might pick that one up!

Hey guys, I just wanted to show off the newest pic of me in my Wested CS novapelle (with two coats of standard Pecards dressing). How awesome does it look with a leather-toned Celtic knotwork shirt?

Are you sure it's not a TN?
....I'm not sure if it's the flash but my Novapelle never looks that brown in the photos.

The normal Pecards dressing, the thick waxy stuff you get in a tub, will definitely darken the NP although it will gradually lighten up again over time I don't think it will go right back to the starting colour.
WW jacket looks just like the promo shots in the village and the Empire cover.

Wow! I think the Novapelles look great! Pecards or no pecards!

KT...can you please post the photo from the KC Promo that IS A WESTED? I have heard about this but never seen the confirmed photo in writing. Interstingly enough, on Wested's video, there is a chap working with a shot of HF (Cemetery scene with pistol out) nailed to the wall above. Was this a Wested jacket in that shot?

Nothing that I know of.
I do think that WW's jacket looks a lot like this one:

I applied the first coat of Pecards about a month after I received the jacket because I thought the leather looked too dry, and not shiny like the Empire pic. Then, after I saw the movie, I decided that maybe another coat wouldn't hurt, so I put a nice heavy second coating on, and - voila! Shiny Wested novapelle!
P.S.- I will be wearing this jacket to Dragon-Con, if anybody is interested in seeing it up close.
