Putting it on...

I have a 59cm Fed deluxe. Ive had it for a few weeks, and Ive worn it most days it wasn't pouring or windy. I have two felt pads, one by each ear to give it a 'secure' feeling since between a 58.5 and 59. One thing Ive noticed, however, is that it fits differently if I put it on front to back, as opposed to back to front-if the front comes down last I could take the felt out and it feels nice and snug. If I put it on front first, it feels just a bit loose.

Either im crazy, or I have a weird head. It IS a bit oval front to back-this I know, and I sent to Steve, along with a 58.5 measurement.

So, is fit altered just by how it is worn, or should it be uniform?

The head is a funny thing... and so is the shape of a persons skull.

Seriously, though, you probably don't even realize that the hat ends up at a different angle on your head depending on how you put it on. It will make a difference. My AB is a little snug, but if I play with it I can get it on my head comfortably if I find the right "sweet spot". So, neither you nor your hat are mutants.
