Honest opinions- marked up "offical" replica or just not worth it?

Not worth it and that's from my limited whip knowledge that I've learned from COW. It's the same one the Nobel collection is offering and as a "replica" it may certainly not be a hardy whip to go cracking around.

Mostly for show I guess.

I would be careful.
They do not specify the plait count, nor the type of leather.
It might be fine as a belt hanger, but probably for not much more.

I don't think it's a 12-plait.

I am guessing this is made more as a mass-produced replica bullwhip. While I don’t doubt that it will crack and perform some basic figures, I seriously doubt that it will have the balance and perfection of a professionally made whip.

Yeah i thought about getting one of those myself but for that price, I can get a real whip for about half that and it would be professionaly done. But when or if I do get a whip, it would mostly be a show piece or part of a costume. I dont think I would ever get to actually using it because well...i dont like welts lol.

Absolutely. Be careful. Plus, it's such a rush to talk to a professional whipmaker and tell him what you want. And then have the knowledge the whip was made for you. Yes, it's expensive, but well worth it.
