Already dreaming of a third Wested

I got two Indiana Jones jackets from our dear friend Peter and the second one just arrived a few weeks ago and I'm already dreaming about my third order.
But this time I'm going a bit off topic. I really like the jacket Mel Gibson had during the Leathal Weapon series. I think it would be a great jacket.
You think Peter can make a jacket like that for me when he knows what my measurements were for my last goatskin Wested? Guess it would be the same... no? Any feedback would be good. Maybe I should contact Peter about it but I think I disturbed him a bit too much lately.
Kind regards
DJ

I hear ya Doctor Jones!
That is the next "Wested" on my list I think too, lol. Ever since I saw that film in the movies, I knew that I wanted that jacket!
I heard that they make it out of "lambskin," but I was wondering if Peter could make this jacket out of a different leather.... I need to pay off some bills, but as soon as I can, that jacket is next on my list!

Well I know he has it pictured on his new site as one of the jackets that he offers... personally I like the look on the James Bond jacket from Tomorrow Never Dies he has advertised but that will have to wait a while.

Not to be disloyal to Peter (I have a Wested and love it) but you guys should check out
http://www.asseenonscreen.com They have pretty cool jackets, and cheaper. Also, their Minority Report jacket is more accurate than the one Peter currently offers.

Yes, indeed it looks like a GREAT jacket!
Now, is that the "Wested" jacket or is that jacket made by another supplier?
Hmmmm, I've gotta get that jacket soon!

That picture is from another supplier but I think I'd go for a Wested instead.

Firstly . Let me say that anyone free to buy what and where they like and as they say let the buyer beware. But in this instance I would be wary to compare a quality UK made jacket with a 3rd world cheap import.
We used to be a supplier to AsSeenon Screen and they still owe us big time.
Enough said.
Cheers

A jacket I have been after is the black leather jacket Tom Cruise wore in Minority Report, god I love that movie. I am also looking for a leather jacket patterned after a suit jacket, nice light brown color.

Hey there Peter!
I'm soooo torn over what jacket to purchase next from Wested......another Indiana Jones jacket or this Lethal Weapon jacket, lol!
Ahhhh, decisions, decisions, decisions

But, I wonder if Peter can make this Leathal Weapon jacket out of Goatskin.....
I need to control my inner voice when it says to me: "when in doubt, buy both, lol"
Regards!

I totally agree with this - When I looked into getting a LW jacket last year they were very hard to find, except that one, and it was never in stock. NOr did I feel comfortable buying from some strange website....And the actual jacket in the film WAS manufactured by a big brand name, but they are now scarce. THe funny thing was I saw that guy Joe Millionare wearing one at a recent NY nicks game....
Doc Jones you have email...!
Cheers
IJ
PS Peter, I just recieved my new Jacket, PERFECTO! THANK YOU!

For some reason, I had been thinking Wested made the actual film jacket.

Well ... I called Peter a couple of days ago and am expecting MY third Wested in three weeks. Black lambskin TOD/LC hybrid. Silver zip, slides, and press studs. Longer length. I've bought a cowhide LC, and a lamb LC from them before. This one is going to be my "night on the town" going out jacket, dressier, etc. He mentioned that his black lamb and hide leathers are really nice but the goat is "not very good, not a true black." FYI.

Chamorro, please bring the black jacket to the QM if you can. I'd love to see. I've contemplated getting a black Wested, but I don't want goatskin. The lamb might be the thing. Let us know if the black lamb is as buttery soft as Wested's brown lamb?

Are you kidding? No one around here misses a chance to show off new gear.

Fellow gearheads are the only ones that "get" it.
I'm really exited about this. I plan to do a modified black Indy look with my grey Keppler, black trousers and boots. I'm thinking maybe a white shirt with a black tie but that might be too Blues Brothers.
For variety, I'm having my black Fed blocked with a lower C-crown and cut down to a 2" brim. I'm moving into the Indy inspired look with my clothes. I just got a Montecristi too.
Question to all, do you, like me, find yourself wanting a different, yet still classic, look to your clothes? It's like, I've done the gear thing to death already and I want a different look but still want the same sort of feel. Ya'll understand what I'm saying?

I myself don't wear full gear too often, so I guess I don't get too tired of it. However I don't wear full gear very often by choice...only for Indy summits. I feel self-conscious in a fedora since that's more of a man's hat. I do, however, find myself checking out the female hats more often lately when watching period movies. I like that period's style, it's much more classier than today's clothing that barely covers and reaps of disrespect toward a women. I'm still baffled how many of the women in the 30s and 40s styled their hair as they did...When I try, it looks horrendous and won't stay (even with bobby pins).

I can relate, too. Ever since I got into Indy gear I became pretty much "clothes-conscious". I started paying attention to the way people dress, because it always tells you a lot about their personality. Also, when watching movies, I look for new looks I could replicate or just emulate. Recently I've been into the Tyler Durden look

Tyler Durden?

Allow me: Tyler Durden from "Fight Club" retro clothes, leather jacket - I own a vintage 70s jacket similiar to the one worn in the film as well....!
