Post by Trebor »

Just wondering if anyone else here has a C&R FFL that they use to buy Indy guns? If you think about it, pretty much everything he uses is C&R eligible.

For those of you who don't know, a C&R is a Curio & Relics Collectors Federal Firearms License issued by the BATFE. This allows the license holder to purchase firearms that are classified as curio & relics and have them shippped directly to the license holders residence. Curio and relic items include any specific firearm that is over 50 year old (not that the design is that old, but the actual specific gun is that old). The license is only $30 for 3 years, so it might be worth looking into if you are still looking for your Indy gun. You can save that much on transfer fees alone.

Yes, I have one. I used it to purchase my HE2 from Bob Adams. The curios license has helped me out on a lot of other fireamrs that I have purchased, including my Webley MkVI. If you guys don't have one, you really should consider getting one.
