I was fiddling with the raiders turn today, and it seems to be creating an odd reverse taper with my fedora. Its also really doing a number on my brim.
I can't seem to tell what my problem is?

Haha, that's not as crazy as it seems. I once took a cheapy BCF hat and turned it 90 degrees, removed the ribbon and repositioned it. The problem with that method is that you end up with the distinctive Raiders beak brim on both sides rather than just the bow side. If you happen to have a round oval head, more drastic turns are required to get the Raiders effect, although not necessarily 90 degrees. Basically a 90 degree turned hat produces a exaggerated but incorrectly symmetrical Raiders hat.
