Dying Chinos

I bought a pair of chinos from Target which are pretty close to the screen used ones but the color is off. They are more of a light khaki. How do I go about dying them to achieve a SA Raiders color? Thanks in advance.

I just posted my experiences in dying my pair of LL Beans last week...
viewtopic.php?t=29188
I used a big pot on the stove, and a package of Rit in 'Cocoa Brown'....i let them soak for about half an hour, but should have either left them in longer, used more dye, or less water. Hard to see how i could have used less water, though...
MAKE SURE you wash them a couple of times before you start---to remove any sort of finish used in processing...And follow the directions on the box. It's imperative that you agitate the garment the entire time you have it in the dye bath...If I had to do it again, I might try the directions for the washing machine....
If you want to skip the dye bath altogether, those Wrangler 5-stars in my picture on the right are just as accurate as the Target chinos (just no pocket flaps) in a really good color---at Wal-Mart. They're like $20 or less, I think...And I like them a lot!

Thanks Pyramid Blaster. I'll probably head on over to a fabric store today to purchase the dye. I'll leave it in for about 45 minutes, that oughta do it.
