Just saw this pic....is Marion wearing a pair of Alden 405s?

Sure. She complained that during the filming of the Well of Souls scene in Raiders, she was barefoot and 'Harrison had on his big boots".

Speaking of women raiding the closet though can you imagine if Indy did have a housewife 
and she did go through his closet !!!
I can see it now,
" what do you need these dirty old jackets for?? they can go, oh your closet is no place for a whip, it will have to go into storage...i mean seriously, you'll never actually use it will you?? And..oh whats this?? how many hats do you need?" etc etc

Due to the times it would be more like, 'Oh dear, these hats need cleaning. Do these trousers need to be laundered? Where did I put the Pecards?'
And all this while looking her best. Ladies today however...

My missus wonders why I need whips and fedoras...the foot comes down on those items however

in those same batch of photos there is a better shot of Indy's bag/backpack. if you look close you can see it has two straps like a regular backpack, not one like a sailors duffle.
