Club Obi Wan

Since I was the first person that I know of on CoW to try come up with Indy IV's specs ( viewtopic.php?t=25792 ), I thought it would be only fitting that I should also be the first person on CoW to give you guys a taste of what the real McCoy will look like!

Nevermind the blue leather or the pinstripe lining, (this is a teaser after all) but insofar as the specs are concerned, this one looks to be a keeper!

Also, I just have to admit that after thoroughly measuring the pocket specs and such (for those of you folks interested in that thing) and comparing it to my own Wested specs that I had guesstimated in the above link, I am really surprised to see how close I was! With the exception of the back panel (which is Raider-ish), all the measurements are accurate to within a couple of centimeters, save for the length of the pockets which I had overcompensated for by half an inch or so...

Just something to consider if you're in the market for a Indy IV Wested clone...

castor....i'm a little confused about the teaser here....why blue with the pinstripe lining? is this what you wanted? if so....i admire the blue leather because everyone has brown

Holt, I do have pictures of the backpanel and the sidestraps. The backpanel is longer than what Wested usually offers, and is more in line with the LC look. Nowak's sidestraps, however, is something completely different from what we've come to expect.

I'll have to ask Tony if it's alright to post further pictures, just out of common courtesy though! I assumed that since we'd all seen the front of the jacket, it would be nothing new...

And nope, this isn't the CS leather.

Hey G! The blue jacket is just a prototype, although I must admit that it looks pretty snazzy for an Indy jacket (though clearly not for everyone's tastes). I guess the pinstripes just match!

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have two jackets on order, and I'm already considering getting two more for posterity! Mr. Nowak is just a pleasure to deal with, and the way he treats you, you'd think that you're his only customer. He mentioned that he had the utmost respect for the dedication of us gearheads, and just wanted to do right by us basically.

Interestingly, when I mentioned that I was surprised at how sincere and dedicated he was to such a small cliche such as us, which we don't see often among gear vendors (I mean this in the most general sense), he was quick to basically say he did not know the other vendors, and one could sense he doesn't want to step on anyone's toes.

I don't know about the rest of you, but just the trust and respect I have for this guy goes a long way to making the jacket being worth 700. But that's just me.
