Ribbon width

Just looking for opinions on ribbon width. The Raiders fedora is supposed to have a width of 39mm, right? A 1 1/2" is 38mm. would a 42mm be OK with the 5 1/2" crown, or am I being way too picky?

Personally, I'd like 42mm for a 5 1/2 open crown. That's 1 5/8 inch. I don't know what sizes ribbons come in, but that would look good.
