Raiders pocket placement

Hi

What is the general feeling about how far the pcoket should be from the zip? I'm talking about the right hand pocket when worn; the one without the storm flap.

Interesting to me that the Expedition I have has a space of 1.35 inches to the zip. Where did this pocket placement come from? In Raiders, it looks almost 3 (or 2.5) inches? I can't think of any jacket where the spacing is that little...

If you look at my photo closely, the 2.5 inches distance is not the distance of the right pocket from the zip of the right panel, but the distance of the right pocket from the zip seam of the left panel.

The distance right pocket - right side zip should be shorter.

It would be interesting to see the expedition zipped up and then to measure the distances as per my picture.

Can you do that?

Can you do that?

It's two and a quarter inches. Size 42 T.

When I watch raiders the distance unzipped from the pocket to the zip seems substantially larger. I'd say a good 2.5 to 2.75 inches.

Just goes to show how hard it is to tell space on a TV screen or in photos. Maybe it is only 2 inches...

The G& B is a fantastic jacket. So strong and well made.

Trust me I studied many pics before I end up with my pocket specs.
Please note also my pocket specs are not SA, they're just good looking, based on the film jacket.

Only Todd's jackets have the SA pockets. The correct SA pockets are off center.
