Testimonial for Fed III Deluxe: Thanks Ron!!! Pics Added...

I finally had the opportunity to put my Fed Dlx thru some decent weather testing. We started getting a pretty good blizzard last night here in the Black Hills, with winds around 35-45 mph, and sideways rain and snow. I was fortunate enough to be on standby for the electric shop at the base, and got called out for a downed power line to the Security Forces dog kennels. Took about 2 hours to isolate and fix, all the while I had the Fed screwed securely to my head. What a great hat!!! THEN... this morning I look out the window to see 6" of snow on the ground and snow blowing horizontally. A look at the wife and I said "You are NOT driving in this; I'll take you to work". I donned my Carhartts and Fed, brushed off the Silverado, and got it warmed up. Then I got calls from two of her co-workers who needed rides as well! Went to pick them up, and there was a guy in a 2-wheel drive pickup stuck in the driveway. I managed to pull him out (thank goodness I had my tow strap), got the girls to work, and there's the hotel shuttle van stuck! I pulled him out, pulled out a Ford Festiva that was hi-centered trying to get out of the parking lot, AND a Ford Probe that was hi-centered in the middle of the road on my way home! All the while, my hat stayed firmly on my noggin and took all the wind, snow, and rain that got thrown at it. Once I made it back to the house, I took it off, straightened the brim, and hung it (lovingly) on it's hook, looking none the worse for wear. That was about 30 minutes ago. That hat is one of the best clothing purchases I've ever made, and a fantastic product.
Thanks, Ron (and all the original Federation collaborators here at COW), for providing such a great value to us American folk who might never have had the opportunity to own something like it.
Highest Regards, Andy
