If you take a look at the FS website,
http://www.flightsuits.com and go to their clearance section, looks like a WHOLE bunch of Expedition prototypes have come out of the woodwork and are up for sale there, across a large range of sizes, too. The operative word here is 'prototype'. Regards. Michaelson

Meaning what?

I know that the prototypes had wider pocket flaps, and the pockets cargo pockets are too far back, also I believe the action pleat is stitched in perfect alignment with the shoulder stitch, when it should be 1/8 off. FS could tell you, or _.
Sincerest Regards.

FS clearence jackets are still head and shoulders above a lot of jackets I have seen. In fact I wore one today to work. Their cut and quality is top notch...even the clearence models. You might even get lucky and get the old Dacron lining which is my personal favorite.

To be a bit more to the point on the 'meaning what' question, if you buy one that's a prototype, don't expect them to come with correct pocket placement, thickness, etc. that has been acheived through trial, error, and correction. You're getting a jacket that was in the development stage to the jacket that is now available through regular sales. Not a thing wrong with the jackets, but for those who are detail oriented, these are not for you. If you're NOT that detail oriented, then these are a real bargain. Regards. Michaelson
