In the shot where they walk across the snow to the cabin, I always wondered if that had been shot with a holster and the radios had been CG'd over at the same time they did the radios over the guns in ET....
Indy had some serious issues in 1950....

Indy Proabably didn't think he would need his piece while on a did here in the states!!! However, a walkie-talkie would really come in handy!
Is it common to excavate in the winter?!?!?!?!

Pretty sure the consensus is that they forgot to remove it for filming! I guess it was done in a rush.

Pardon my ignorance, but what year was that scene set again? Before or after KS?

1950 before CS.
He doesn't have his whip or his Webley or S&W. At the end scene, he exclaims "what can we do, they've got guns!?" or something lame like that. Maybe it was just a ruse to throw them off.
And I thought he was a "cautious fellow".

That sure is an ugly hat he's wearing. I can't figure out if it's been in a fight or if he's wearing it sideways!

Also if you look at the long shot as they get out of the car moving to camera right and then when they trek through the snow, you can see a pistol holster, will try and get some caps of this.
Funny enough though, I swear on my VHS of MotB, in the walk through the snow (with the snow overlay) you can see the radio, but on the DVD it looks like a holster.
There's an interesting point, are the only two TV performances (other than as himself) that HF has done are SW Holiday Special and MotB?!

I thought replacing the guns with radios only happened in E.T.

That was my subliminal suggestion working there.
