Re: The HJ in Donavan's study scene.

May I first apologise for the lack of pics (I'm between cameras at the moment).
I've just received my first fedora, an HJ 'Poet' with LC specs.
The Donavan's study scene headed my specification wish list.
In my opinion, the hat looks splendid in this scene, not only can you clearly see that it is a genuine HJ, but it appears to be in very good condition, one might say 'pristine'. I am fully aware that a number of hat makers were engaged during the making of the trilogy, but there's something about that particular hat, in that particular scene.
That nostalgic, attractive, unmistakable dark brown hat can still be found, take my word for it.
My requests, for the order, have been carried out to the letter .
In my case, I put them in writing to the Swaine Adeney factory in Barhill, Cambridgeshire, where the hats are shaped.
If anybody out there is contemplating an HJ, my advice would be - be very specific with your shaping requests, as they will work with you.
Cheers all,
JTW.
