Not sure if this belongs here or not, pre-sorry to the mods if not.
is there a hat shop in the pittsburgh area? I am about 45 minutes west of there.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable question to me. I don't live in Pittsburgh, though, so I can't answer it.

Thanks Bink, I know of a couple western stores, but thats all they are, and if I need something done to my hat, I have no where to go

That's not necessarily true. What kind of work would you need done? Some western hat shops will actually have fedora blocks and the ability to take care of non-western hats. It's always best to ask them, if you haven't already.

never thought of that Bink, I will have to ask them, I really dont need anything now, but who knows what could happen tomorrow, I can bash it and all, a reblock kinda makes me nervous, but I dont think my western stores block anything[/img]

There used to be a fantastic haberdasher on Fifth right downtown. It was run by two brothers but closed down about five years ago (they were in their 80's I believe!). Back in 95 or so I bought a pretty nice fedora there and a Homburg that I still wear every winter.

I had just heard of one but they tore it down for the new hockey stadium, I figured the way Pittsburgh people are they would have at least one hat place
