Is this still an accurate flow-chart of how it's made?

Knowing absolutely NOTHING about how a fur-felt hat is made, I looked around online and found a few articles. One was accompanied by a photo that shows the various stages of a fur-felt hat.
Is this still an accurate idea of how it starts and finishes?

And here are two pics of Winchester felt beaver hoods along the same process that JW Hats had when I went down and spent the day with them to get some hatting tips. Tough to tell the difference between the rabbit and beaver felt until the felt gets shrunk down.
A young son of one of his customers unfortunately put some holes in it when left unattended but man was it soft as a cloud.
And the same size cone shrunk down with hot water and some rolling and compressing action at the factory...

Now you know why a hat wants to taper. That cone is its natural shape!

Bink is right, a felt hat starts as a cone and heads back that way as soon as it starts being worn. How soon? Well that depends...

Well, what are you waiting for? Make a hat out of it! I wonder is static cling would be a problem with that hat...
