Club Obi Wan

With talk of the next movie coming out either in 2004 or 2005, I'm assuming in the near future (especially given a 2004 release) that a decision will be made (if it hasn't been already) concerning a vendor for the jackets. Do you think we will know who the vendor is before the movie hits, or not until after? If Wested gets the job, what is the likelihood of his offering the jacket to the public before the movie is released? (Of course, this is all assuming Indy will have his trademark jacket...)

I would hope that Wested would be allowed to carry the tradition, but it would be nice to see any of the vendors who have put up with us get the contract. As far as releasing a jacket to the public before the movie, I would think that it would go against any confidentiality agreement that I would think they'd have to sign. Film makers are extremely protective of the "secrets" regarding their projects.

Of course this is all conjecture on my part.

I would certainly hope Wested is asked to produce the jackets again, Lucas better make sure the gear in this one does not ****, or you know who will be ticked off. I wonder what direction they will take it in, try and recreate the Raiders gear or LC

Well considering Wested did some stuff for Star wars episode1 and 2, it is safe to say they will be utilized if jackets are needed all the LC stuff is in storage still. Chris

IMHO I think Wested will definately do the jackets again, though Peter wouldnt tell us...and hes smart to! I dont think well find out until after they are made, and the movie is filming, or maybe even after it comes out! Who knows! (wasnt there already a thread on this?)
