you know, when i buy clothes, the fit is almost NEVER perfect right off the rack, but this bag, or more specifically the strap, WAS PERFECT. Right out of the bag, the length was perfect, the buckle sat right in the middle of my chest without me having to do anything to it.

So i finally got my MKVII AND it's a perfect fit. That's better than the icing on the cake. That's getting an EXTRA maraschino cherry in the whipped cream on your chocolate shake from Steak and Shake on a hot sumer day. IOW, Very Awesome.

ETA: And the small pocket in the middle compartment is the perfect size for my Challenge Coin. As those who are young and hip say, "This thing is totally made of win."

I'll second that question and add I really like the colour of the canvas.

The bag only comes in one color: the one shown.
the strap is the regular brown(which is the only color with the grooves, BTW), with a flat slider buckle.

HAHA! :D I got the same package, and right around the same time too. Sorry Tony, I've been on a mini vacation and hadn't had the time to post a review, it seems Darth Indiana beat me to it though. In all seriousness though, what a wonderful bag!!! Darth Indy's pics wonderfully captures the look of this great bag (a piece of gear I've wanted for years and years) and has left me with nothing more to add than my gratutude for it (and again for my fedora  ), thanks for everything Indy!

Great isn't it, got my replacement strap today and attached it to the bag. super bag. amazed at how many pockets it has, and of useful size! I have all my whip accessories in mine, bernies DVD, spare falls and crackers, cleaning towel, small tub of pecard. perfect.

Looks like a great field bag. Can you fit an Indy style whip (10') into one of these bags from Magnoli? Thanks for any advice.

Also, I notice that some people change over to different straps with these field bags. Why is that? Is the leather strap on these bags a good strap? Thanks.

I don't know, I ordered Todd's strap cause I thought Magnoli's was too expensive.

I like that everyone take a pic of the package the item came in. :D
it's like running to the bathroom to take a photo of wearing a fedora.
