Hello Everyone. Does anyone have a LC Whip? I believe the LC handle is a bit more tapered and thicker or something according to the pictures in Bernodo's site... Is there any difference in handling though? Say compared to the Raiders whip? When you grip the handle, is it noticeably thicker than the Raiders handle? This is my first REAL whip and I want to know everything about it!! Appreciate any advice!! Thanks!!

I think I better answer your questions since they refer to my whips.

There isn't an official classification or division between the whips in the films. In fact, they all look very similar (because they were all made by David Morgan) and different at the same time (because they are a hand made product).

I came up with 3 different models mainly to group the different features I saw common in the whips in each film. It's not carved in stone tough. In fact, there more I learn about older Morgan whips and the screen used whips, the more I realize how similar they are in the 3 the films.

The main difference between my LC model and the Raiders and TOD, is that it has a slightly thicker handle that resembles a modern Morgan whip. That's about it. Handling and weight are practically the same as my other models. It's just a slight cosmetic difference in the handle.

Your whip in particular cracks very well, and it feels well balanced. You won't have any problems in learning to crack it well.

My friends and fellow whipmakers Paul Nolan and Lauren Wickline tried this whip and they both were highly impressed with its handling, balance and overall looks.

Wow, the answer from the man himself!! Thank you sooo much!! It's very informative and down to the point. Now you mention all the back story behind it, I am even more excited!! (It's in the customs right now, so I am expecting it to be delivered here on Monday!!

Thank you Lauren!! With both of you guys' endorsement of the whip, I have no doubt that this whip will turn out to be the thing of perfection!! I love the fact it's been used and endorsed by all three of master whipmakers!!

By the way, I love you guys' whip cracking tutorial on Youtube (Was my whip used in that tutorial? If it was THAT WOULD'VE BEEN AWESOME!! It isn't a whip, It is THE whip that was used in the tutorial... As seen on Youtube...haha) I'll try some of those cracks you demonstrated as soon as I get the whip!!

No Gi, we didn't use your whip in the video. We just test cracked it a few times. Since the whip was for sale, it had to be in new condition.

Dang... I was hoping it was used in that video.... so that I can say it's "Screen Used" hahaha.

What was the reaction like from the people around the park? Were they really curious about what you guys were doing? Asked you that if they can try it and etc?? Did it alarm any authority figures nearby?

No, no excessively curious bystanders really, and no cops. Everyone around here is pretty much used to us cracking whips by now.
