I know this might sound not so bright, but please bear with me. When you use rain repellent do you also do the underside of the brim or just the outside of the hat?
Anybody?

What material is your hat made out of? I understand that if it is beaver, then no water repellant is necessary. Rabbit on the other hand, I've read doesn't hold up so well in the rain.
I don't think I'll spray my feaver AB or AB Deluxe, but maybe my rabbit HJ could use a coating. Where do you find a product like that?

I got mine at NogginTops. Good deal and extremely fast shipping. Scout hat rain and stain protector...

What do you mean by that though, the inside too??? Or just the inside brim?
My hat is a Keppler beaver/rabbit blend and my JPD that's on order is rabbit.

Not sure why under the brim. I just use the product on the areas that rain will reach, like the top outer crown and top of brim.
That's just my practice, though. Hasn't failed me yet!

Yep, unless you get in an updraft, I don't see the need myself.

I do not spray inside the hat. I do however, spray the under brim.
This helps keep stains from my grimy fingers off the hat......at least I think it does......
