Below are pictures of both my new Wested Horsehide and new XL Todd's Jackets. The Wested is a Raiders custom . The Todd's is the standard. The shoulders on the Wested are a bit squared off with the new stiffness - there are not shoulder pads in the despite what it looks like. I was worried about the Todd's sizing based on many of the other posts. I like the sleeve length, and it just about fits in the chest.
I ordered the Wested in a 42 80's cut, and asked for the Temple of Doom length. I'm 5' 11 3/4" at 190 lbs for sizing comparrison. Thanks to Peter, Gemma, and Todd. I really like both. There are enough different qualities in each which I enjoy.

Below is my 6 year old Wested Raiders Lamb for comparrison. All measurements are the same as the Wested Horsehide except for the 80's cut and added 1" in length.

TWO new jackets. You must have a very patient and lovely wife. They're both great jackets; for me, though, I think the Wested looks nicer, but it is a custom job.

Hey, Machone. Nice jackets. Did you simply submit your measurements to Wested and specify the '80s cut, or did you "size up"? The fit under the arms looks great and you didn't seem to lose jacket length. Do tell.

Wow! Both those jackets look great! NOW I can't decide who to go with! Thanks a lot!
But, I have to say, I think, that your six year old Wested looks the best of all!
Almost a mixed version of the two jackets!

That horse is wrinkling up really nice, is it quite thin? Nice stuff.
I agree that the older jacket looks the best, has some nice honest miles on the clock,

The older jacket looks like the best fit - the other two both look a little short in the sleeves.

Is it just me, or does the pic of the Todd's jacket look like it hangs lower to one side? It makes the pocket placement seem odd.

I gave Gemma the same measurements as my older jacket for the horeshide and just asked for the 80's cut.
The uneven sleeve's on the Todd's was more likely caused by my two year old running cirlces around me while taking the pictures
She likes to wear my older Disney hats. The sleeve length on both the new jackets actually sit on the first nuckle of my thumb - the older Wested sleeves are a little longer. For everyday use I prefer the new jackets sleeves.
Hunter, my wife is VERY understanding. I told her I would be ordering the Todd's - I actually didn't tell her I did so so soon after the Wested
The logic behind the two fer was I needed a heavier jacket for the winter, my lamb was just not cutting it. The Todd's I wanted for the warmer weather since many said it felt more like a windbreaker...this way I am covered for all seasons. Translation...probably have to buy something nice for the Mrs.
KT Templar - The horse started showing character two days after wearing it. It really isn't thin. It's a little stiff in the collar and shoulders still, but I am really happy with the leather. I would never have considered it were it not for the board. I was admiring the Novapelle.
Thanks for the positive comments,
Ben
