Is it me or the DP?

Post by afrayedknot »

I ordered a wool DP from Herrington (just to wear to the KOTCS premiere). When I first tried it on a couple of months ago, it fit pretty good and didn't look too bad on me.

I've been working out a lot during the past couple of months and I've lost some weight (only about 5 pounds), and I've noticed that the DP is a little loose and it doesn't quite look the same on me.

Is it possible that my head shape is changing or is the DP's shape changing?

Its your head. Same thing happened to me, just in reverse. Only when I gained weight I didn't have any Indy feds so I'm cool. At least it doesn't fit you too tight now. Just put some foam behind the sweatband.

Sorry. I don't know how to post pictures yet, but here's a link to the DP I bought, which looks different than the wool DPs I've seen on other threads:

I'm not too concerned about the bash, but I was wondering if there's a way to change the brim. I'm going for the SOC look.

It isn't just the hat that is green, so is Ford's stubble! Was the picture posted on St. Patrick's Day?!?

What is even worse is this description of the DP "Wear the Same Hat Worn by Harrison Ford, as He Searched for The Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark!" Oh, really!

You can get the same one on eBay for $39.00. The image in the official Indy pic is definitely not the same fedora as the DP. As a matter of fact the hat in the official picture looks like it has been Photoshoped into the frame.

You will end up having to rebash the DP.

The pic Castor posted wasn't the one I was referring to on the link I provided. The pic I was referring to is just of the fedora and it looks just like the one I received, however, it doesn't look like the wool DPs I've seen posted in other threads.

If I just wanted to change the shape of the brim, is it necessary to rebash the whole fedora?

My haircut does the same thing on me: when my hair is shaved my fedora is a little too loose, and when they are longer it is almost too small!!!

Is it me, or is "Action Still" an oxymoron?

And it's not a very action-y still anyway - He's posing for the camera, sitting still!
