Washed/Dried Wings Antique Lamb, before/after PICS

So I finally did it. I soaked my U.S. Wings Antique Lambskin in a hot shower for about 15 min, then threw it in the drier on "delicates" inside a pillowcase for about 30 min. It was mostly damp and has been air drying for the last 24 hrs.
Here are some pics, including a before/after. Notice the collar shape as well as the pockets. Yes, I did pull on them like Platon's example

What do you guys think?

another thing.has you jacket shrunken a bit after watersoaking?how did you let it dry?air dry on a hanger?

Thanks, guys. I like how it turned out too.

I did it to loosen up the leather, take off some of the shine and was actually hoping it would shrink just slightly on the body. I didn't want the sleeves to shrink, so I kept stretching them regularly as it air dried. Surprisingly, the jacket doesn't appear to have shrunk at all. And my sleeves are now a bit longer, which is fine as I'm sure they'll ride back up a bit eventually.

Holt, I dried it in the dryer for 30 min, then let it air dry overnight on the couch. I didn't want to hang it wet afraid that the hanger would poke the shoulders and misshape them. It drapes much better now and I like the collar a lot better also.

The only negative experience in this process for me was that the wet leather put out a very strong smell which I can't really describe. Not yucky smell, but strong. I'm hoping once is 100% dry it will smell like leather again

I went ahead and did this to my USW goatskin jacket. It is currently in the dryer. I hope it shrinks

it will shrink...

have you read the post from jenshope?he soaked his goat in cold water and let dry...it shrunk about a little over an inch in length and size

and you have putt your's in the dryer....i am pretty sure it will shrink a little

the jacket was in a pillowcase, but I see what you're saying. The collar did get more discolored than any part of the jacket. It might have been from the fact that it was soaked in the shower and that was the part closer to she shower head

The jacket does drape better, collar included. I might apply some lotion to it before putting it away once it warms up. I don't want it to look like the other jacket you linked to yet (no disrespect, but I want mine to earn that look after many years, not right now).
