Wested Pants back from the Tailor! *with Pics*

Post by Tron7960 »

Last week I posted to let you all know that I had taken my Wested Indy trousers to a tailor for some "fine tuning".
viewtopic.php?t=27704

I loved the look and feel of my Wested pants but knew that for me to be happy with the fit, they would need some alterations.

One week and $20. later, I'm pleased to say that they now fit as I imagined they should. (they even did a proper job of my attempt at tightening up the notoriously loose button fly holes!)

For anyone not quite satisfied with the fit of their Wested pant, I highly recommend this process!

Great color!! Looks like you got them fitting just right. When I got my Magnoli pants, I made the mistake of having them made too narrow - a few months later they didn't fit comfortably anymore!!

I had the inseam taken in down to the knees, creating a straighter, less tapered leg. I also had the seat and crotch taken in eliminating the "diaper" look.

I know!

I'll relax it a bit (not completely lose it). No matter how good your tailor is, they can't let you pick up un-pressed pants.

I think it would be a violation of ITCOC (International Tailors Code of Conduct)

Thanks Red Dust.

My Aldens were given a polish with regular old mid brown shoe polish. They started off a pretty good color so I didn't do much other than try to tone down the stitching on the toe. I've got a pair or Marc's AB Aldens ordered so it will be interesting to compare when they arrive.

Not sure about a link, or if it's available outside Canada. Picked it up at WalMart.

This is the stuff!

You can definitely count on lots of pics when the new boots arrive.
