Wested out of new goat?

I've not had good experience in my attempt to get a new wested goat. I originally ordered at the end of January, just days after the new goat came available. Long story short, I still haven't received my jacket. I've been told various stories, from being told it shipped, (even told the day it shipped), to finally being told it hadn't ever even been cut and that they were currently out of stock in goat and wouldn't be receiving any for at least 20 working days. That was back on March 15th. The frustrating thing about this is that there are numerous people on this board that placed there order after me and received their jackets. Apparently my order was given an unenviable place in line? Of course my credit card was charged 2 days after the order was confirmed. I'm on the verge of cancelling this order and getting my money back based on the overall poor experience I've had. Any thoughts or experiences?

Sorry to hear about your luck...and I must say you have me worried. I order a new goat LC about a week ago, saw the charge and received confirmation. However, on the confirmation, the new fileds, including asking for x-box stitch, side fasteners, custom label, and gussets, were missing and not confirmed back. When I e-mailed Gemma if they got my additional requests, she said "no". So I sent them again by e-mail. I new I filled them out. I'm hoping she got everything entered ok to my specifications.
I would personally call her. They're 7 hours ahead for me, so make a call if you get up early. Be sure to provide your order number. Remember too, that stock sizes will go out sooner than spcial request jackets. I usually have to wait 4-5 weeks before seeing my jacket.
Hope this helps. Again good luck.

Holt, I'm pretty sure it's just a little white tag that says "custom jacket for ...." sewn inside. I found the page it states. Check this out:

The order form has all new fields in it, and it looked like Gemma didn't get them from me, even though I filled out. I hope she straightened it out for me.

Good luck, I've asked for it on all of my jackets and I'm on to number 4 and not one of them has ever had it

I phoned Peter on Wednesday to ask about stock jackets. He had a jacket in new goat in my size and I was told it would ship the next day.

Stuff is going in and out of stock at breakneck speed over there right now. I got there just as they had finished unloading a batch of novapelle last week, but it may all have been spoken for. So far the new goat seems to have appeared on the OTR's, I haven't seen any customs made from it yet.

I've been reading this forum on and off for almost 8 years and there is a constant uninterrupted thread of complaints just like this about Wested. Sure there are happy stories too, but man, why should this be any kind of surprise? It's all documented. History repeats and repeats and repeats and repeats and repeats. I thought of buying a Wested back in 2001, when the exchange rate for the dollar made it a reasonably inexpensive choice to do so, but even then the constant complaints about his jackets convinced me to stay away. Anyhow... never mind.
