Proper Length Whips for the Films

Please forgive the dumb question from the FNG, but...

...I recall an interview with Christopher Reeve on the Superman films, where he advised that he wore capes of different lengths, based on the requirements of the scene (walking, flying, etc.). That being said, what was the length of the "standard carry whip" that Indy wore on his belt during the films? I'm sure that for climbing and swinging, his whip was longer. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Fritz

From what I hear, when using the whip, the standard was 8' long. When it was just on his belt, it was 10' (10' looks better when being worn) with 6', 10', 12' and even 16 feet being used for special work. :junior: -M

Thanks Gents!

'bout the same. I don't think they changed it that much from movie to movie. :junior: -M
