Indy Winter Jacket

Joining COW has taught me A LOT about leather. I've ordered a G&B Expedition but I know that it won't really stand up to the cold of NY winter. I have a lambskin and fur bomber jacket that I bought about 3 years ago. It's warm but is beginning to shed its leather. I'm looking into a new indy style jacket for winter, and I'm thinking about Horsehide with an alpaca lining and a mouton.

What experiences have you fellas had with indy style jackets in the cold climates?

Now those are the kind of jackets Im looking for except Im looking for something in Horsehide. Do you think there's something like that available or would I have to get a custom?

I can't get horsehide through my suppliers, but Wested does. Years ago I tried to get Peter to do this exact style of jacket for me, but it never happened. Maybe you'll have better luck...
