I saw this at the London Imperial War Museum.
It was part of a display on undercover operatives (er, spys to the unitiated) who were deployed in Europe during WWII.

I'd have to say no. The most obvious reason are the handles. Those are a textured crosshatch pattern grip not scales, probably delrin or bakelite, not bone. The shape of the handles and the blade is wrong.
What is the provenance of this knife?

You got me there Chamorro!
I should have snapped the blurb as well. There wasn't much to be honest, it certainly didn't go into much detail.
Basically as stated at first, it was issued to operatives during WWII. It was the dating that caught my eye as well as the similarity. However I seem to recall that the knife used on set may not have been period accurate.
So I guess you are right, and it's not the knife.

Doesn't make it a bad knife, I'm sure it is probably quite fine if it was issued to operatives. I have many different knives in my collection. I just haven't found THE knife.
