What kind of thread is used in a Wested jacket?

People often complain of the stitching. My Wested is holding up fine after 6 or so years.
But... is the thread cotton or nylon or a mix? And is the thickness of this thread a standard thickness? And has Wested ever changed this thread and, if so when?
So many questions....
