Indy's Other Fedoras?

Post by Castor Dioscuri »

Since Indy does wear more than one fedora for different occassions, I was wondering what the rest of us would imagine Dr. Jones would wear on his day off?

Nah, honestly, I just wanted to use this as an opportunity to post some OTHER Ford-fedora pictures! ;) :P

Indy... going for a college board review? (from 'Sabrina')

And what about Indy in the summertime? (from 'Witness', natch!)

It's true what they say... the hat really does make the man :P

What I always found so neat was, those WERE his actual glasses. Those were the same ones he wore in Raiders too.

A Homburg has it's place, but it's a bit odd looking on Ford.

He DOES wear it kinda low in the back. Makes his face appear rounder than with the high crowned Raiders.

I agree airforceindy. Such a low crown homburg really does round out the face. My dad, who has quite a round head, has been equally happy in homburgs and fedoras. Of course for really round, there was his bowler phase in the late 1960's.

That first shot looks like a Miller/Corleone model Homburg.

I'm guessing they had Ford wear the Homburg in Sabrina because Bogart wore one in the Original Sabrina. I definitely like the Fedora better :D

Sabrina is one of my all time favorites, both the version with Humphrey Bogart and the one with Harrison Ford. I think it's interesting that Ford has been likened to Bogart, and in this movie he plays the same part!

You gotta admit though, that homburg does not look natural on his head!

Harrison has a long face and the crown & brim are just way too short for him. It looks like a kids hat on him, too small.
