Post by Mississippi Jones »

For a Joe Strain bullwhip, which color would you suggest for the KOTCS bullwhip?

Here it is , MJ. I believe the colors are whiskey with brandy knots.

Texas, that is outstanding! Congrats! That is a GREAT looking whip!

Whisky with Brandy knots, huh? I'll have to remember that. By the way, how much did it cost ya? Just so I'll have an idea of how much money to dish out.

But that is a great looking whip! Once again, Congratulations!

Thanks guys, but the compliments go to Joe! Let me tell you, until you have seen a brand new Strain in person, words (or pics) can't describe the artistry of these things! His braiding is the smoothest, tightest, machine like-chainlink construction I've ever seen! The detail and cut/taper of his strands are just phenomenal! As you unwind the whip, you can just FEEL and HEAR the leather strands working in unison to flow so fluidly! They really are a piece of art! My compliments to Joe! You RAWK! This is the second Strain I've bought over the last few weeks, I'll make a post of comparison pics of the two. The other one is a copy of the ones that JOE sent to the movie.
As for the cost, his website gives his prices. I don't want to quote a wrong one as much as leather is going up these days. Both of mine are nine footers. Well worth every penny, though!

I thought the whips that Joe Strain sent over for Indy IV were just his standard, 10 ft saddle tan whips with nothing special added?
