Todds 4 plait whip?

I am looking around and I was going to be buying a 4 plait 8 foot whip off ebay then I just saw that Todd's decided to scrap their rubber whip plan and go with doing a 4 plait whip. Does anyone know if there is any info about these?
I talked with todd a month ago and he said he wanted to have the rubber whips cost around or under 30 bucks, do you think these will have a similar price?
Thanks,
Josh

I just checked the site again and it says rubber whips again.
This is interesting because I just talked with Todd last week and he said he was working on something that was going to be better than the rubber version. Maybe what I saw was accidentaly put on the site then taken off?
I don't know, but if he comes out with a budget whip under $50 I will instantly buy one no questions asked.

Check out an ebay seller named jrzjoe. I got a 4 plait 8 foot from him for $30 and it cracks very nicely. He'll do whatever color/length/plait you want and his prices are workable depending on those 3 factors.

I was actually looking at his whips the other day and I think i'll be getting mine from him. The only reason I was asking about todd's is because they might be more SA, but then again, I know nothing about whips except for a couple terms like plait and cracker, and just barely.
Thanks,
Josh

You'll get what you pay for. Find a good whip from one of the sellers here on the boards. You'll know who they are, you can communicate directly to them and only be best can be found here. Adam, Gus, Joel, Louie, all good whip makers who turn out a quality product and have the reputation within this community to back it up.

Feel free to ask any of us. If SA is important to you, there is a sticky at the top of the forum of all the SA whips available. It is a wonderful hobby and we always enjoy getting new people into it.

Well right now I am just trying to get the best I can for as little money to have a full costume for Indy 4. I will eventually want to get a nice whip, but I don't have the moola right now.
Thanks for the help.

It should be on his website unless he hasn't updated it again.
Just shoot gus an email or give him a call, he is a great guy to work with and you can't beat his 12 plait 8 foot Indy for the money. I love mine and it not only looks the part but it is fully functional and one of the easiest whips I've ever tried to use.

I'm sure that Gus makes 4 plait whips also.
