I've been trying to put this in a word document for Jim so I could email it to him, in the end gave up on it so posted it on my website, I guess this way a few more people that are struggling with Turks heads can get some benefit from it too....
Best Wishes

Tony, that is a great looking tutorial. I think that is going to help a lot of up-and-coming whip makers. Thanks very much for posting it.

Awesome Tony! This isn't a particularly easy or simple knot to try to give directions for making, but it looks like you did a great job.
I hope some people (even people not interested in making whips!) will want to give it a try for fun, and post back about how it went. You can tie a knot on practically anything that's vaguely cylindrical with any sort of rope or cord.

PS: I'm curious - what's the reddish pink stuff on your knot foundation? It looks a little like tool dip?

I used two strips of leather and then just bound it with some electrical tape for quickness and ease and to round it off Lauren...I'd normally use artificial sinew but I only threw the knot in the bin once I had the photo's done so I figured it wasn't really important what I used....

Tony,
I just tied my first proper T.H. knot.
I diluted your great instruction to a 5 part 4 bight with pins and it worked great. Many thanks! That knot was proving to be my Achilles' heel...and while "knot perfect" I now feel I have something to build on and improve.
It is just this sort of thing that makes this community so great.
Again, I can't thank you enough.
