Just Ordered a G&B Expedition - GREAT Customer Service!!

Post by IndianaSolo »

I just ordered my 42R Dark Brown goatskin G&B Expedition Jacket, and I must say, the person I dealt with, Travis, was excellent at assisting me with my purchase.

The jacket won't be ready for another 2-3 weeks. I chose goatskin and the expedition because my concern is primarily a jacket that I will have forever, resist the elements, and will stay together during that time.

But for those who are interested in purchasing a G&B, speak with Travis, he was a pleasure to deal with, very professional.

Cheers Mates!

Yes the Expo in goat is definately a real world adventure jacket. Take care of that baby when she arrives (don't baby it thou), and it'll last a lifetime. Good choice!

the color of thebrown goat looks really dark on their website- how does it compare to 'real life'? Does G&B make them in custom sizes, or are they standard off the rack sizes? -The web site doesn't seem too easy to navigate.

I too just ordered a G&B Goat Expedition (40Tall). I spoke with Lee Keppler before hand to get his opinion, and he spoke VERY highly of G&B goat. In fact put me in touch with the manager at G&B, and everyone there was very helpful.

My main concern was getting a jacket that will last in real world adventures. Plus the fact that they are built to military spec is a major turn on for me!! I was told they have had the contract for the Blue angels for the last 20years. We IJ fan may complain over a 1/8", but the boys in uniform are watching down to 1/64". They will do custom sizes(no returns), but they will not change their pattern. There jacket is based off the Terry Leonard stuntman jacket. I have 2 weeks to go, just in time for an Arizona Summer.....

You will be VERY happy with the G & B. Tough as mails, their goat is, amd the dark brown is excellent. Enjoy!

Congrats on your jacket decision. I know I lobbied pretty hard for the Wings jacket on your other thread, but I have not had a G&B so I could not make that recommendation. However, if the goatskin and stitching are anywhere near as good as they are on my Wings jacket (and I'm certain they will be!), you will wear out before it does.

Post some pics when you get it!

I received my G&B in Goatskin, about 3 weeks ago, maybe less. It is the second G&B jacket I've purchased, the first being an A-2 in Russett horsehide. It is magnificent, as is the Expedition jacket. Mine is also a 42R.

You will not be disappointed. You will immediately realize that this jacket will last longer than you will. It is an exquisite piece of clothing. The leather is considerably darker than the Wested Lambskin, but you'll love it.

You are also correct about the customer service. Travis is TERRIFIC!

Let's hear from you after you receive your jacket.

Many Thanks
Randoman
