Yes, I have. Currently I'm working on a scrap cowhide mini-stockwhip. As it stands right now it's a 4-plait thong measuring 8" long and the fall is around 13" Handle is next on the list. The fun part is repeating "Odd-man out, under, over"

The GSC's helped! Edwards book is a little dense, sitting there going "Wait a sec. First that was here, then...no...yes...##(_@_@(#!!!!" gets tiring, but it is an exellent reference. Crossing that with Morgans book and it really helped my first...whip-like thing. Keychains maybe. Yes, keychains. But who ever heard of an 8" stockwhip? We do have cats!

The picture looks just like me this weekend. I was cutting up some cowhide and plaiting a length of 3/8 steel cable into what now looks like a hefty riding crop.
