Authentic-colored Goatskin has arrived!

Two days ago, Peter sent me an e-mail to tell me that the authentic-colored goatskin would be arriving in three weeks.
The surprise came a few moments ago when I got up and checked my e-mail and there was another e-mail from him (sent yesterday afternoon). It has come early and he said it would be here Friday.
Yes, giddy as a schoolboy!
Well, can you blame me? It's my first Wested.

Well, I guess not. The authentic-colored goat eludes me a little while longer......
Peter sent me the folowing e-mail this morning shortly before 10a Eastern time:
"Still waiting on delivery, lorry broke down in France.

That's a bummer to hear that. Must be the cold weather that cost the lorry to have problems. Hope you'll get it soon!

Fun? I have an whole other idea about fun... and that is opening the package from Wested!
And then putting it on for the very first time... smelling the rich new leather aroma! Gosh... That's so great!

That doesn't sound stupid at all ITG... Englishmen and Americans do have other words which sometimes they don't understand at all.
The Frenchspeaking people of Belgium compared to the French do have some words like that aswell. Example. The number 70. In France they say soixante-dix and here in Belgium they say septante.
Something like that.
Completely offtopic I know but heck.. it's late here.

Spanish is no different. Words and phrases vary between countries as well as regional words within a given country too.
No different than here in the U.S. Do you put your groceries in a "sack" or a "bag?" Do you drink a "soda" or a "pop" or a "soda pop" or a "coke?"

You hit upon a big Southern thing there...as we Americans have GREAT divergences in our speech and colloquialisms. For example, whatever it is called elsewhere in the US, in the South, it's just coke. Whatever it is....Sprite, Mr. Pibb, Coca-Cola....you name it, whatever it is, it's usually "Just gimme a coke."
Language is such a cool thing. Of course, I would think that, wouldn't I? I am an English teacher.....

Congrats on your first Wested! The thrill is like the symphonic
tension mounting in the music of the Desert Chase Scene in
Raiders. In the U.S. , we chase the lorry, which is a UPS, FedEx, or Postal one. Ah, memories of the Ice Cream Man coming down the block.

Man, you sure triggered a memory for me, Mystique. I mean--- to remember when the Ice Cream Man was driving through the neighborhood just brings back some memories of hot summer nights and catching "fireflies" (or, is that "lightning bugs?") and getting a Pushup or a Nutty Buddy from the Ice Cream Man. And for you PCs out there, NO, there was never a lady who came through my neighborhood.
To quote a famous song from the 80's---- "I wanna go back.... and do it all over.... but i can't go back... I know...."

Peter e-mailed me on Tuesday regarding the much-anticipated goatskin arrival.Referring to the lorrie that broke down in France,
"Repaired and in customs arriving tomorrow."
I guess that means the skins should have arrived at Wested on Wednesday. The Wested wait continues but I'm diggin' this FS deerskin of Indydawg's (but that's another thread).
